Stitched on aged nubby linen with one thread & hanstitched all around outside edges (x's)Both have partial alphabets & measure 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches closed Opened measuring 4 1/2 x 9 inches...Each has been lined with cotton batting. A) 18TH C. motifs on this NeedleKeep are of a Squirrel & Skeleton key with the initials ~c.d. age 7~Inside the choice of fabric is a Brown Repro. Civil War Print and includes Pins, Needles, Thread. Of course on the top half have the keepSakes of saved Emu feathers & tag reading~Elizabeth Murphy's Book~ B) ~Ella's NeedleKeep~ with 18th C. motifs of two dogs with Skeleton key with the makers name ~Ella age 7~...Inside fabric is a repro. civil war blue print with the addition of Pins, Needles & thread..
