Harvest Pinkeep Drum

   This good old primitive Pinkeep Drum is the original finished piece from the pattern. I've stitched on aged linen with nice muted colors of bittersweet, soot and beeswax..... H-a-r-v-e-s-t in between a soot border with an early style urn filled with bittersweet berries and the date 1807, an old black cat and skeleton key, a harvest moon and owl, and a candlestick with a beeswax candle.The drum is completely handstitched and filled with sawdust. I've finished the seams with tiny little X's done in bittersweet.And the sweet little bird on top is fashioned from 2 reproduction brown cottons. She has a little gusset to make her nice and plump and her wings are handstitched....she has french knot eyes and a little tuft of 'feathers' on top of her head.She is firmly attached to the top of the drum and makes the perfect place to keep your pins and needles.This is one of my signed and dated originals and will arrive to you neatly packed.
