Providence Oldacre & Pumpkin Seed Pinkeep

Up for your consideration this month is the actual doll used as the prototype for my pattern, Providence Oldacre & Her Pumpkin Seed Pinkeep. Coming from a much respected family of brown pumpkin people, Providence has sparse raw flax for hair, old button eyes, and a rag stuffed body. Included is her sawdust stuffed pinkeep. The verse on the front is from a vintage Halloween postcard. It reads, “You need not be afraid of me; I’m just a grown up pumpkin seed.” Love the primitive trio of pumpkins at the bottom! She is a hefty gal ~ 36” tall. Special price this month includes USPS shipping! Only one!

Wee Witch Emma

I made one too many wee witches when filling orders, so this gal is looking for a home this harvest season. Emma has raw flax hair, French knot eyes, tiny stitches for her teeth, and carries a skinny sack filled with lambswool. Her face is only a wee 2” wide! Mounted on an old mill bobbin, she is 14” tall.

Mrs. Begg PATTERN

*~*~PATTERN~*~* Mrs. Honora Begg is an amiable old cat. She carries a ticking sack with a crudely stitched jack-o-lantern (she has a real fondness for carving and is widely known for her talent). Pattern includes a full color photo, pattern template, and detailed instructions including aging techniques and alternatives for finishing your project. Neatly packaged in a clear zip top bag.

Plenty 1829 Needle Punch Pillow PATTERN

*~*~PATTERN~*~* Inspired by the season and my mother’s fondness for turkeys with their tail feathers down, I have created this folky bird along with an ear of Indian corn, the word “Plenty” and “1829”. Stitched to a rag stuffed pillow of wool and encircled by a homespun braid, it is the perfect size to set in an old child’s chair. 7”h x 8”w. Pattern includes a full color photo, pattern template, aging techniques, and instructions for making this wonderful pillow. Neatly packaged in a clear zip top bag. Basic needle punch skills necessary.
