~Ansella~
From the very moment I first saw the angel dolls with wooden architectural 'wings' dressed in vintage christening gown in the Seasons at Seven Gates Farm book many years ago, I was intrigued by these dolls. Ansella the angel is 28" tall with rusted wire and star. She herself is 23" tall, the wing span is 13". Ansella wears 2 old (color tone of age) ornate pillow cases, with lace trims for her skirts, covered by a very old yellowed from age infant sweater, all original. The doll herself is aged stiffened muslin, with old mother of pearl button eyes, stitched nose and sparse string hair. The wings are an old wood trim piece with original white paint still visible. She hangs with a wire hanger. $115.00 plus shipping & insurance.
~Zeldah Hungerhold~

~Herda Drobney & Maxwell~
Herda Drobney is a simple primitive black doll, fashioned from soft brown
flannels, painted and aged. She has a simple face with double stitched
circle eyes, thin stitched mouth and an added nose. She wears a very old
thin original dress, a Christening dress perhaps in it newness, now showing
signs of natural aged coloring and thin here and there. 24" tall. Beside
Herda is her constant companion Maxwell. A sheep pull toy, making use of the
cotton batting from an olde quilt I salvaged the insides from, I hand sewed
(no glue) the cotton in its natural color, to a muslin sheep body I made.
The sheep is 8"x7", and stands atop a cart, from old farm wood in original
color, with old wood wheels, 6-1/2x4-1/4". A piece of green wool remnant
hangs around his necks, along with a string of old bobbin thread. He is
'pulled' by an old wood thread spool with a string of bobbin yarn. I left
some of the original heavy thread of the batting in place as a testament of
what this batting originally was.
$169 for Herda & Maxwell plus shipping & insurance. SOLD, thanks I thank you for your time in looking.

~The Farmhouse CD~
Since moving to the old farmhouse of our ancestors in June 2007, we have amassed over 250 photographs of the rooms and vignettes of our primitive furniture and collections of treenware, tinware, crocks & folkart. Sunshine dances and creeps through the windows, across the old wood floors, and is captured often with only a brief moment in time. The shadows and light calms the soul and brings a smile to the heart of those who watch it move to another area. We have come full circle. The long gone ancestors smile, and we rejoyce in our life here in their extraordinary farmhouse. $15 post paid
