The Primitive Gathering



	"Needfuls Bag" This month I am offering this very Primitive "Needfuls" Bag. Fill it with anything that makes you happy, candles, cinnamon sticks, spices or perhaps sewing supplies. I used my favorite colors of deep chocolate browns and puttys. The bag itself is made from old linen. I have added a large old wool patch with six pennies and a "needfuls sampler. It is completely hand sewn with brown and putty cotton threads and hangs from twill tape. Needfuls bag measures 8 1/2" x 9 1/2". It is heavily grundged for that Primitive look. "MA and PA" Pillow Shams I have been wanting to make a pair of "MA and PA" pillow shams for such a long time and finally decided this was the perfect month as we start decorating for Fall. I have saved this large piece of retired homespun ticking for a special project and this was it! The color is a lovely shade of paler brown and has narrow stripes of putty, grey and pumpkin. The truest color is in the closeup picture of the MA sham. The wool pennies are in shades of browns, puttys and mustards. I have added some old sweet buttons. (see more below)

		The "MA and PA" samplers are done on old linen. I made the shams to fit up to king size pillows and have added ties to keep them nicely inside. They measure approximately 19" x 32 1/2" They can be used on either side of the bed that MA and PA sleep on. The homespun has a lovely soft, warm feel. Because they are decorative I would recommend hand washing and air drying when needed. "Ma and PA" shams have a very cozy, primitive look. They are original and will come to you signed and dated!
